• International AT Hackathon is organized by L. D. College of Engineering, India (“LDCE”) and Voice of Specially Abled People Inc, USA (“VOSAP”), collectively referred to here as organizers.
  • VOSAP has knowledge in the disability related matters and is providing a technology platform as part of its mission to conduct this International AT hackathon virtually and provide a free booth to top 10 entries on its virtual AT exhibition at events.voiceofsap.org.
  • LDCE will provide mentorship from its alumni experts, professors and ecosystem partners for the success of this AT Hackathon. LDCE will also provide support for incubating, mentoring selected top 10 ideas by August 31 2022.
  • Anyone upto age of 25 years can participate.
  • In order to submit an idea, the participant must first sign up for an account, register by filling all details per application form at voiceofsap.org/athackathon
  • By signing up for an account and/or registering for an event, the participant permits the international AT hackathon for SAP to send information about the event and future events, as well as notification messages, to your registered email address.
  • An individual or Team of students can participate. In case of team, one student will be team leader and will be responsible for correspondence. Team cannot have no more than six people in a team. Interdisciplinary team is desired so that diversified knowledge will help to solve the problem. It is desirable to have industry or academic mentor for the participating team.
  • Idea submission opens on 20th June 2022, 00:00 AM (IST). Idea  submission closes on 15st September,2022  at 11:59 PM (PDT). Further process and timeline can be viewed on https://ldcealumni.net/projects/ATHackathon
  • Use English language and appropriate language on the presentation/word document /drawing and in any linked materials.
  • Participation in the International hackathon for SAP is fully voluntary, and participants are not entitled for compensation.
  • Any licenses applicable to Solution or any part of the solution must be identified in the documentation that is submitted with your Solution. The participant/s has to cite every source that is used in the creation of the solution, even if it is open source or freely available.
  • The participant confirms that the solution does not infringe plagiarism/Intellectual property right criteria of the third party. They own the IP, solution and are responsible for any liability if any claim is reported to organizers of this AT Hackathon. VOSAP and LDCE are not responsible in any way and upon complaint, reserves the right to cancel the entry.
  • If any kind of piracy found, that team’s or individual’s entry will be denied and that team and individual participation will be canceled and ruled out from the competition.
  • International hackathon for SAP is an entirely virtual event. Meeting in person is at the participant’s own expense and risk unless informed by organizers. 
  • Participants agree to give permission to be recorded, photographed and/or videotaped by LDCE and/or VOSAP for the purpose of announcements and other outreach or informational purposes, including public announcements, concerning the AT Hackathon.  The Participant also understands that this permission to use Participant’s name, image, voice and/or likeness in such materials is not limited in time.
  • All submitted Entries shall directly address one of the International AT Hackathon problem as described at https://ldcealumni.net/projects/ATHackathon/to be eligible for posting on the LDCE (including LD Alumni) and VOSAP websites.
  • Participants can have a mentor or guide, who should be mentioned during the project submission.
  • For the entry, include Blueprint, Presentation along with relevant media files (photos and videos) with your submission. High resolution is preferred.
  • The decision of the judges appointed by the organizers will be final for filtering top 10 teams and top 3 winners and in case any other discrepancy arises in the hackathon competition.
  • Top 10 entries will be selected by a panel of judges by Oct 31 2022 based on submissions and interactions with teams. They will be announced to public on Dec 3 2022 during annual event of VOSAP
  • Best three teams will be selected by Jury in the final round (after Oct 31 2022 results of top 10) and awards will be given during valedictory function on 6th January 2023.
  • Entries that are selected will have to be submitted as per instructions provided.
  • There will be additional rules applicable to top 10 entries.
  • First right to refusal for taking any idea forward for patents or commercialization is held by organizers.
  • Once a team submits their Idea, it will be visible to people, hence the participating team is allowing the organizers to make the idea public.
  • First prize winner will receive $1,000, 2nd prize winner $500 and 3rd prize winner $200 in cash from VOSAP within 60 days of declaration and money will be given to the team leader, subject to applicable government laws, as per entry during the registration. If any changes needed, exception will be managed with VOSAP
