On October 3rd, Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri NarendraModi, in his first radio address to the Nation shared his views that Specially Abled Children are responsibility of entire Society and Nation. Again in the 2nd radio address to the Nation (Nov 2nd), he announced allocation of Rupees 1 lakh per school for making central schools accessible for Specially Abled students.
1. There are 7 crore (6% of India’s population) Specially Abled People in India.
2. Pranav Desai founded www.voiceofsap.org (partner organization of OVBI) to advance the cause by creating collective voice of individuals, parents, mentors, companies, NGOs and international producers of products and services in the field of disability and take it to India’s top elected, corporate, academic and social leaders for them to support the cause and do the needful.
The goal of the hangout session is to spread the awareness on Dec 3 (International Day for Persons with Disabilities) by providing data points, inspiring NRI community for the cause and sharing ideas,ways in which they can contribute to Empower The Specially Abled People of India.
As part of our organization’s endeavor to expand the support for this social cause (BIG Idea for Better India), we have joined www.voiceofsap.org to create rights based inclusive society, accelerate government’s efforts to Empower The Specially Abled People of India.

Mr. Desai has degrees in Engineering and Management, living in the US, working as VP in a multinational company. He has Polio since the age of 4. He knows Indian PM Shri Narendra Modi since 1988. He led the election campaign through india272.com as the ANCHOR for the group (1,700+ volunteers) “Empowering The Specially Abled People”. Under his leadership, the group published Vision 2020 with 12 goals out of which 7 were included in current ruling party BJP’s election manifesto.
