VOSAP Art from Heart 

Voice of SAP is a global advocacy non profit organization, promoting Empowerment of Specially Abled People (SAP). The initiative “Art from Heart” is aimed at spreading awareness, bring out emotions, beautiful expressions of creative mind, giving powerful message as an art work to promote Inclusion. Theme: Disability

Examples: Participant can portray emotions, anxiety, aspirations, dreams of a Specially Abled Person. It can also be related to real life challenges faced in the society by Visually impaired, Mobility impaired, Hearing impaired or Learning disability of Specially Abled People (SAP).

This Art project will help participants and families to think deeply about 15% of global population, considered Persons with Disabilities. During COVID19 pandemic, while stress levels are high, thinking of SAP may provide opportunity to understand lesser known aspects of the lives of Persons with Disabilities and get inspired to give profound, inspiring message for their inclusion in society with best of artistic talent.

Artists of International repute like Amanda Lynn, Gloria Muriel, Charan Sharma, Dr Debashish banerji, Dr Kamakar Datta, Zahir Shaikh (Artistic Director at Artcore, UK), Bhavin Kothari (National Institute of Design), Vaidehi Parekh (Art Director, San Jose) are all part of our event and they are donating their artwork and are advisors for our project

Rules and Guidelines

The artist (person submitting entry) is a person who captures their own thoughts and ideas to create a visual piece of art. Accepted forms of visual art include sketching, drawing, painting, printmaking. Original Artwork only.

An explanation of the art form might be a useful addition to the artist statement. Whether an entry displays use of formal technique or a simple approach. Reproductions or enlargements of another artwork are not accepted. Artwork should refrain from containing any profanity or objectification of disability.

Copyright: Use of copyrighted material, including any copyrighted cartoon characters or likeness thereof, is NOT acceptable in any visual arts submission.

Submission Requirements:

  • Last date to submit October 31 2020
  • Only new pieces of artwork inspired by the theme may be submitted
  • Each entry must be the original work
  • For the entry, include a digital image of artwork with your submission. Allowed format is JPEG/JPG/PDF/TIFF/PNG. High resolution preferred (less than 12 MB)
  • Artwork that is selected for any future advocacy art exhibition will have to be submitted as per instructions provided later
