Voice of Specially Abled People (VOSAP), a distinguished organization holding ‘Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, hosted a transformative event at Blind People’s Association (BPA) on January 2, 2024. The event, aimed at empowering specially abled individuals, marked a crucial step towards realizing the Vision 2047 for Viksit Bharat and Divyangjan.

VOSAP Founder Shri Pranav Desai graced the occasion, inspiring attendees with a powerful message of independence and contribution. Specially abled individuals were provided with self-employment kits, including beauty parlour essentials, physiotherapy tools, and more, fostering avenues for meaningful and sustainable livelihoods.

Shri Pranav Desai addressed the gathering, urging Divyangjan to work towards independence and contribute to the ambitious Vision 2047. The goal is to establish a $1 trillion economy driven by the efforts of specially abled individuals, thereby creating a more inclusive and developed India.

The event witnessed the convergence of VOSAP donors, volunteers from both India and the USA, and the dedicated mission team. Together, they emphasized the importance of collective efforts in realizing a future where specially abled individuals actively contribute to societal progress.

 

‘Vision in the Dark: : During this visit, VOSAPians engaged in the transformative ‘Vision in the Dark’ experience.

The ‘Vision in the Dark’ initiative is designed to provide participants with a glimpse into the daily lives of visually impaired individuals. Participants, including members of the VOSAP team, were temporarily immersed in a simulated environment where they navigated tasks and activities without the use of sight.

This unique experience aimed to deepen the understanding of the challenges faced by the visually impaired, fostering empathy and awareness. The visit to the Blind People’s Association allowed the VOSAP team to witness firsthand the resilience, capabilities, and unique perspectives of individuals living with visual impairments.

The VOSAP team extends gratitude to the Blind People’s Association for facilitating this enlightening experience, emphasizing the collaborative efforts needed to build a world that understands, appreciates, and accommodates the diverse needs of all individuals.

VOSAP Meet and Greet : VOSAP organized a meet and greet session on January 2, celebrating the commitment of volunteers, partners, and the mission team. This session highlighted the collaborative spirit that propels VOSAP’s initiatives, acknowledging the pivotal role each volunteer plays in driving positive change.

VOSAP strives towards a more equitable and inclusive society, beacon of hope, inspiring communities to join hands in building a future where everyone, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to thrive.
