The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) was adopted by the General Assembly by its resolution 61/106 of 13 December 2006. Since 2008, 14 sessions of the Conference of States Parties have been held at United Nations Headquarters, New York.
The 15th session of the Conference of States Parties to the CRPD (COSP15) will be scheduled to take place at the United Nations Headquarters, New York, from 14 to 16 June 2022 , during which an election of nine members of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with disabilities will be conducted. The COSP15 will be held this year in in-person format.
Sparsh Shah, VOSAP Youth Ambassador and Iris Wu, VP, VOSAP Club, UC Berkeley will be presenting the statement this year at 3 Days Annual Conference by 180 Countries on the theme of ‘Innovation and technology advancing disability rights’
