The Transformative Role of AI in Empowering Persons with Disabilities

AI has remained at the very heart of many of the revolutionizing changes in various domains, especially regarding accessibility and inclusivity for persons with disabilities. This paper is focused on the different ways in which AI technologies are developing capabilities that empower persons with disabilities by transcending physical, cognitive, and social barriers. It considers how AI and associated innovations in assistive technologies—like natural language processing, computer vision, and adaptive interfaces—have changed the face of accessibility to education, employment, healthcare, and everyday life. In addition, some ethical considerations related to AI applications in the context of disability empowerment and the future direction are presented with emphasis on the fact that more attention ought to be exercised towards inclusive design and ethics considerations within technology development. Using product articles, this paper analyzes the potential of AI to become a driver of greater fairness and inclusiveness in society, enabling everyone to contribute and flourish without ability-based barriers. I am a VoSAP igniter (high school volunteer) who wants to contribute to the VoSAP mission. As a VoSAP igniter I am able to contribute by rating accessibility of buildings, raising awareness, fundraising, etc. I intended to write this report as I am passionate about AI and I want to make an impact on SAP through my passion
