VOSAP July Fourth Event in Sugar Land, Texas Update

On July 4th, 2023, four Ignite students and one volunteer – Shloke Dave, Vishal Pancholi, Juhi Pancholi, Akhil Chamarti, and Paresh Chotalyia – volunteered at a booth at Crown Park in Sugar Land, Texas to promote and raise awareness for Voice of SAP. These VOSAPians raised awareness among more than four hundred people in a mere six hours.

We brought a monitor and computer to play two different videos simultaneously. One video was a three-minute video that covered VOSAP’s achievements in 2022 and a forty-minute video that is multiple videos combined. There were flyers that were handed out to everyone that visited the booth. We talked to many people, spreading awareness about the VOSAP organization and the community services that we provide around the world.

During this event, we gave the prizes to the winners of the previous art competition to the participants that attended the event. One of the people that we talked to was from India and told us that he had already registered and donated to this organization some time ago. He also said that he was very surprised to see VOSAP in Texas as he has seen it in India and California and at the Howdy Modi event. Ms. Sugar Land, Jimaniece Barry visited our booth and we talked with her about VOSAP. It was awfully hard to raise awareness because we did not have an item that we were selling. During this event, we were able to raise awareness among 400+ people. Most people took a flyer and said that they would register at home or think about it, and some people even donated to our cause. I had a wonderful experience, and I look forward to the next VOSAP event.
