VOSAP participated in Global Assistive Technology Expo and Conference(GATEC) as a promoter between 23-25 March, 2023 at India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. More than 40 Exhibitors of Assistive Devices, medical equipments from around the world were present.
Akhil Chaubey and Mohd Faiz from the VOSAP mission team went there as delegates and represented VOSAP.
Attending a 3-day Assistive Technology exhibition was a thrilling experience, from seeing the innovative products to the dynamic and compassionate entrepreneurs showcasing their solutions to help persons with disabilities
The exhibition was divided into various sections featuring startups from different domains, including Prosthetics, Orthotics, Mobility Devices, Mobile Apps, Braille Devices and more. Each section had a unique setup, with startups showcasing their products with impressive marketing materials and Product Demos. It was amazing to see how most teams had their Founders themselves talking about their product at the booth.
We found multiple new companies such as Flexmo Crutches, Rise Bionics, Wembi Technology, Bapin Group that we will soon onboard on our Assistive Technology Exhibition .(events.voiceofsap.org)(Our exhibition currently has 31 exhibitors showcasing their innovative AT Products) and support and accelerate the adoption of their device with our AT Acceleration Fund to create a greater impact.
One of the most intriguing things about the GATEC exhibition was the level of innovation and creativity on display. We came across several startups that presented innovative and creative ideas that could really be a gamechanger and create a huge impact in the coming future. For example, A startup Rise Bionics, brought down the process of creating customized prosthetics from several months to several hours. Another startup was developing an exoskeleton that can be rented for rehabilitation of stroke patients, people with Cerebral Palsy and more.
The highlight of the exhibition was the opportunity to connect with startup founders and team members. It was exciting to hear about their vision and learn about the challenges they face while bringing their products to the market. Many of them were happy to share their stories and provided valuable insights into their user journey and how their devices can create a real on ground impact which is also our vision at VOSAP.
Many of VOSAP’s AT Exhibitors and supported companies were there too like WeHear, Torchit, Dextroware, NeoMotion and more.
Some of those founders we met for the first time physically and it was great to know about their progress as well and how they are looking for further collaborations with VOSAP in coming months.
