We, at VOSAP had a historic quarter Q4 2024 with overall our social impact reached 4,000 lives of Divyangjan in Q4 and first time we crossed 10,000 in year 2024. We are very thankful to all of our volunteers and over 2,000 donors in the US who have embraced the VOSAP vision and mission of Empowering Specially Abled People. It has been a remarkable journey of last 10 years of idea evolving into a transformative mission of inspiration, empowerment, advocacy, and youth engagement.
ENABLEMENT
Our journey of empowering, enabling Divyangjan achieved a new milesone in Q4 2024 with over 4,000 lives that we could touch
- Enabling with Assistive Devices: VOSAP has successfully sent/distributed over 1,500 Smart Glasses, SmartON AI software for blind, Smart wallets, patented SAHAYATA wheelchair for defacation, Signable for deaf and high end devices for Deaf-blind – Orbit 20 to help improve the daily lives of Specially Abled People and in many cases, earn their living.
- Eye surgeries: Under ‘Gift of Vision’ program, 30 cornea transplant surgeries were done in Ahmedabad, restoring sight to many needy individuals. Also camp in Ayodhya, helped 1,011 people gain back their vision post free cataract surgery
- Project HITARTH: This new initiative in healthcare has started well with over 2,000 Intellectually disabled people are added in this quarter alone. Of course our goal is to reach tens of thousands of them in coming quarters.

ADVOCACY
1. MoU with Union Territory of Daman, Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli: Vision 2047 has inspired leaders at UT of DDD to join hands with VOSAP. In fact the team has started working on the exectuion also as per MoU charter.
2. VOSAP Global Annual Event on Dec 7: “Voices of VOSAPians”, collective impact, symphony of VOSAP with its 7 category of partners is reaching to thousands of people now. This year annual event theme was to present each “SUR”, note of the VOSAP Symphony as how they are contributing with endless possibilities and potential to realize yet! This year Chief Guest was amazing IAS officer, technocrat from IIT Delhi, Secretary of Department of Empowerment Persons with Disabilities, Govt of India – Shri Rajesh Aggarwal, who inspired over 500 attendees.

3. First Fundraiser in Dallas on Nov 17: Inspird by amazing success of LA chapter of VOSAP, Dallas volunteers started workin gon organizing similar event for first time in Dallas.
With great efforts of volunteers and support from 15 orgabizations to sponsor the VOSAP fundraiser, we inspired over 160 donors with VOSAP impact. VOSAP mission resonates as seen in multiple such events

4. Events by VOSAP Igniters: Our young, high school volunteers organized 6 events in Q4 to inspire local communities with the VOSAP vision and opportunity to join the misison. They also raised donations. Ayaan Shroff completed 100 hours of volunteering in just 5 months, first high schooler who worked so dedicatedly, inpsiring others.
Congratulations to Ayaan and Kush for receiving Gold medals while Tejas Shroff, Nihaan Kothari and Shloke Dave to receive Bronze medals and PVSA letters from the US President.
5. Media Coverage in the US: Excellent media coverage, amplifying VOSAP vision among Indian diaspora in the US was achieved with support of our Chief Patron Shri Manubhai (SMFT) and India West, leading print and digital media in the US.

In addition to direct shipment of items, software licences etc., there are mass enablement events line up.
- Jan 13: 300 blind students to receive smart glasses (SmartON) in Delhi
- Jan 12: 50 deaf students to receive digital hearing aids in Rajkot
- Jan 6: 200 blind students to receive smart glasses (Jyoti AI) in Gandhinagar
- Jan (TBD): 80 deaf students to receive digital hearing aid in Modasa, Gujarat
- Feb (TBD): 60 Divynagjan to receive self employment kits in Amreli, Gujarat
- Jan (TBD): Distribution of Mobula – innovative power wheelchair to 25 people in Ahmedabad
