Encouraged by the success of the VOSAP Research Internship Summer 2020 and 2021, we are happy to announce the launch of VRI Summer 2022. This incredible opportunity gives students of Public Policy, Technology, STEM, Journalism – the ability to conduct impactful research while simultaneously obtaining skills lucrative and applicable to any career pathway. VOSAP interns will work closely with experts and leaders in the disability rights movement to produce quality research for advocacy.

We advise you to apply as soon as you can but the deadline is April 24th by 11:59 PM PST. Interviews will start on a rolling basis on May 1st and all candidates will be selected by May 22
The Internship dates will span from June 1st through mid August.

Project Briefs:
Every project will include primary data collection in the form of interviews and surveys. This will be accompanied by secondary data as well.
Employment Opportunities in the Disability Sector:
The disability sector needs many caregivers, experts, professionals, and these unique career opportunities – aimed at rehabilitating Persons with disabilities – have created millions of jobs in the US. This topic seeks to analyze trends of employment opportunities for caregivers, experts, and professions in the disability sector through institutions and gaps between demand and supply of skilled manpower in the US.
CSR Funding in the Disability Sector:
Corporations have considered Persons with Disabilities, a demographic for social impact through their social responsibility pledges. This topic seeks to categorize and quantify the impact of corporate groups and their financial commitments towards persons with disabilities through advertising, investment, product development and more.
Impact of Rehabilitation Programs:
Rehabilitation programs allow for Persons with Disabilities to heal and adapt on an individual basis. This topic seeks to study the impact of programs offered by physiotherapy centers, adaptive sports complexes, and more on people with disabilities.
